Last week, Nitro Tech Media joined CTBEX 2026, the 4th year of the CALABARZON Tourism Business Exchange organized by CAITO (Calabarzon Alliance of Independent Tour Operators, Inc.). I'm still processing how much happened in a single day.
We didn't just attend. We sponsored. We exhibited. We built something the organization is now using. By the end of the day, we'd handed our calling card and brochure to over 100 businesses—hotels, resorts, travel agencies, insurance providers, and tourism offices from across the region.
Why this one mattered
CTBEX has grown every year since CAITO started it, and this year's edition marked something bigger than an expo milestone: the official launch of ONE CALABARZON, a unifying push to position the region as a premier, connected tourism destination. Being in the room for that as a sponsor, not just a spectator, is not something I take lightly.
A few months ago, Nitro Tech Media was just the team quietly building websites and doing digital work behind the scenes for hospitality and travel partners. This year, we had a booth of our own on the floor, and more importantly, CAITO's own website, caito.org.ph, live and running—built by us and representing the organization at their own event. Our brand also appeared as "Powered by Nitro Tech Media" on the event's LED visuals and AVP, and we were acknowledged from the stage during the program.
It's the kind of recognition you work toward for a long time without knowing exactly when, or if, it'll show up.
The moment that hit me
I won't pretend that didn't feel good. Standing on the floor, watching an organization we'd built for use our work at their own flagship event—that's a different kind of milestone than shipping a feature or closing a client ticket.
What we brought to the floor
Beyond the sponsorship, we were there to talk to people—hotel staff, travel agency owners, front-desk teams—about a problem I think a lot of tourism businesses quietly live with: guest inquiries that come in through Messenger, get answered manually, and never get tracked.
That's the exact gap Nitro Concierge, our AI-assisted sales tool for hospitality and travel businesses, was built to close. Paste a chat, get a matched package, a priced quotation, and a lead that doesn't disappear into the DM void. We introduced it as a private beta / founding partner program, and the conversations we had on the floor confirmed something I already suspected: almost every small-to-mid hospitality business is solving this problem with copy-paste and screenshots.
Gratitude, mostly
To CAITO, to Chairperson Lorie Tepora, and the whole organizing team—thank you for trusting us with the CAITO website and for the sponsor visibility. Events like this don't run themselves, and pulling together 100+ exhibitors, government partners, and international stakeholders under one roof is no small feat.
To everyone who stopped by our booth, took a brochure, or asked a genuine question about how Nitro Concierge works—thank you. That's the real work now: following up, not just showing up.
CTBEX 2026 is done. The follow-through starts now.
